Free Travel Basics : What is E-Miles?
One of the easy ways to earn relatively small amounts of miles & points (or gift cards) is by taking online surveys and clicking on things. You can do this by joining e-Miles and participating in their quick and easy surveys.
What is e-Miles?
According to the e-Miles website:
“e-Miles is an exclusive online program that rewards you for your time with airline miles, sponsor points, gift cards or other exciting reward options. It’s absolutely free. As a Member of e-Miles, you can earn free miles in just a few minutes a day — simply by reading and responding to marketing messages based on your preferences”
You can go to the e-Miles website to sign up. You will give your name, email address, birthday, gender, address, and answer a few questions. Once you sign up, you will see your “offers” on your page. It looks like this:
You can then click on the buttons that say “Earn” and it will take you to either a short video to watch (usually about 20 seconds), a quick survey (usually about 3-5 questions & you just click a circle to answer), or an offer that you can take advantage of. If you chose to take advantage of the offer, you get the amount listed (so in the Hertz example above, it would be 200 miles). If you don’t take advantage of the offer, you still get the 5 miles for just clicking. Make sure to click the “continue” button when you are finished & it will bring you back to your homepage.
If one of the choices is to sign up for my link instead (so I can get the referral credit for Ebates….thanks!).
New offers will keep appearing on your e-Miles homepage, so you can accumulate a decent amount of miles for a small amount of time. I like to use these miles to top up my balances in a program when I need to.
Once you are ready to redeem, you can go to the “Redeem” tab at the top & it will take you to your choices. There are airlines, hotels, food & beverage, spa & beauty, and retail gift cards. There are all different redemption levels. Here is the example for airlines and 500 mile redemption:
Here is the page for Amazon Gift Cards:
It doesn’t take all that long to accumulate miles, especially if you take advantage of any of the offers. I have gotten thousands of miles for donations to charities that I would have made regardless. I am a major multitasker, so I usually check my e-Miles page while I am doing something else (usually watching TV at night). I just click click click & earn my miles. Simple.
